Keep your child's vaccines, medicines and lab results in one place
Jojo is a health record for your child. Parents keep vaccines, medicines and lab results in one clear timeline instead of scattered WhatsApp photos and paper folders. Snap or upload a prescription or lab report and Jojo reads it right on your iPhone, then you confirm the details. A vaccine schedule based on your child's age shows what's due and what's optional. Everything stays on your device, with no account needed to start. Built for parents across the Arab world, in Arabic and English. Free on iOS, Android coming soon.
About 2 weeks of coding for the native iOS app, after a few
Claude Code wrote nearly all of the SwiftUI code from my Figma designs and a written build plan: screens, the local data layer, the rules-based parser that pulls fields out of scanned prescriptions and lab reports, and the vaccine schedule logic. I also used Claude for market research, a competitor matrix and financial modeling, and to draft the Arabic copy. Early prototypes were built in Bolt with Expo and Supabase.
All the product and design decisions. I designed every screen in Figma, set the calm, clinical-but-warm look, and wrote the build plan Claude Code followed. I made the big calls: native iOS instead of cross-platform, local-first storage with no account needed, and dropping cloud backup to protect privacy. AI struggled with handwritten prescriptions, so I stopped making scanning the hero and positioned Jojo as a simple health record for your child, where you confirm what was read.
“Prototype fast, but ship the boring, reliable version. Parents want trust more than magic. If the first version actually worked sooner than two weeks, swap in the real number.”
