How AI helped

First working version

1 week

From idea to something people could use.

What AI did

Claude Code wrote most of the React Native/Expo implementation, the Supabase edge functions and SQL migrations, and the pricing/zakat/P&L logic — pair-programmed with me, including debugging production issues (e.g. a false "gold dropped 12.5%" alert) and shipping OTA updates.

What the maker did

Product direction and all the domain decisions: true-local gold pricing across markets, the zakat rules, the Arabic-first RTL UX, pricing/paywall, and reviewing and correcting the AI's output. Plus everything on the App Store / Play / Supabase consoles.

Biggest lesson

“Never allow to show a fabricated price — degrade to an honest "unavailable" instead — and guard automated alerts so a single bad data reading can never push a wrong notification to users.”
